Get a Life!

by Ron Haley in Blog

Not sure I’ve ever heard someone say “get a life” in a kind way. Normally someone is annoyed with someone else that they feel is meddling in their life, or this saying is reserved for when we feel someone is being petty. Please let me explain how I mean this in the most encouraging way.

Often I’m asked when it comes to LifeCoach: Discipleship how to get someone to disciple or lead through the program. My response is “get a life” with Christ that others would desire to follow.

Listen to what Paul says in 1 Corinthians 11:1: “Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.” Step one of discipleship is about getting a life with Christ that others would desire to have.

When is the last time someone asked if they could meet with you because they have been watching your walk with Christ? If you were to ask others if you have a life that exhibits the fruit of the Spirit like love, joy, and peace, would they say yes?

Ask yourself if you have a life that others would want? If not, “get a life” by walking back through LifeCoach; Discipleship yourself.

We would love to hear your feedback on whether or not you have a life that is attracting others and would like to talk about what comes next after you “get a life!”
